North-South Hills of Å+*4~

Well, they’re kinda on the north of Central District of Å+*4~, which is way down south. These hills lie right next to Central Area and are surrounded by several districts on all sides. They are by no means the tallest in the area, but are very significant to the people living nearby. With all the busy towns around, this is the first biggest area of nothing but nature. Many like to come here to get away from the town and relax, hike, explore the area, and also get themselves in trouble. These hills covera pretty large area, and getting lost out there is no joke.

Size

These hills just barely classify as mountains, with its highest point being at 2173m. This point is named Pointy Peak, due to its, well, pointiness. While this is the highest point, most of the mountain range gets up to about 1800m, +/-. All of these tallest points are located more in the center of the area, but the hills closer to the towns are significantly smaller, most being at approximately 200-600m tall.

Nature

It’s not very practical to live high up on the hills, so most of this area is covered in forest, and full of wildlife. The forest is home to many different birds, snakes, forest foxcats, squirelmice and so much more.

In lower areas you’ll find much more plant and animal life, but as you get higher, leafy trees give way to spiky trees that are much better adapted to colder climates up there.

Notable Points

Pointy Peak

As already mentioned, this is the highest point of this mountain range. Not the most remarkable of altitudes, but the more active people of the area like to some up here and enjoy the view. From here, you get a great view of all the surrounding towns and it’s a wonderful feeling, watching the busy towns that seem so quiet and small form all the way up here. Many also consider reaching this point as quite a decent achievement. The peak itself is quite pointy and there is not much space to rest up here; you’ll have to make your way here up a steep hill from the last picnic area a about 100m below, but before you do, that picnic area provides you a nice spot to rest and eat a snack before continuing on to the peak, or returning back down.

Lover’s Hill

Lover’s Hill is one of the smaller hills just outside Central Area. With measly 274m it’s easily accessible to anyone, even if they aren’t the most active or sporty types. It’s one of the more grassy hills with not many trees, but it’s best known for a single heartapple tree at its top. It might be because of that, that it’s a popular spot for couples to come up here and spend some time together, while watching the view of the town. Because there aren't any trees, you get a great view of Central Area from here, as well as a nice view of the night sky. Who knows, you may even spot the Lucky Star from here, and wish for luck in your love life.

Lucky Hill

That one is right next to the Lover’s Hill, and also lacks any significant vegetation, tall trees in particular. Because of this, it’s easy to see the sky from here. This is why this hill is the most popular among people who come here to search for the Lucky Star. At about 400m, this hill is also closer to the shy as many others in this area.

Old Tree Hill

Not to be confused with the lover’s hill, this hill as well only has a single tree at the top. The difference is, that this tree has been for many years, probably centuries. Today it’s not the lush tree that produces tasty fruits, it’s old and barren. People don’t tend to come here very often, so if you do come, you’ll likely have peace and quiet away from all the other people.
