Meetup Parties

Families

Moles value their families very highly and form very tightly knit colonies with each other. These families consist of married BFFs, siblings and romantic partners. Most of the young moles already find their BFFs during the course of primary and secondary school, but finding the one right romantic partner for yourself might be a bit more difficult. That might be ok for most of the young moles, but rich people take these things more seriously. They want their children to start their independent life after secondary school with a strong and wealthy family, and forming this can’t be left to coincidence. While poor people may rely on love to find their romantic partner, rich people know that money is more important in this situation. To make sure their children will find appropriately wealthy partners, they organize these meetup parties with other rich families in the area, where their children can meet potential partners of their appropriate class and age.

Two types of parties

Standard parties

The more common version of the party welcomes everyone, as long as they are appropriately wealthy. Teens of at least secondary school age, more commonly of at least 3rd year can meet new friends here, and hopefully their future husband and wife. Though Fairies and young drag queens have their own separate parties, some might come to those too.

Royal parties

These aren’t just any regular party, these parties are dedicated specifically to young fairies and their future drag queen wives. You see, fairies are Glitter God’s own servants, and as such won’t marry just any regular person, they will only marry someone of an appropriate royal status. Similarly, the rich parents who raised their sons into young women did so for a reason. In hope of marrying their sons off to fairies, they organize these parties where they can find themselves an appropriate fairy groom. Same as the standard parties, these parties are for teens of at least secondary school age, but most often teens who attend are at least in the 3rd year of secondary school. Sometimes the parents try to get their non-fairy and non-drag queen children into those parties, but it doesn’t work unless they are close with a fairy or a drag queen who is willing to pull some serious strings for them.

After School

These parties are dedicated to teens finding their future spouse, and often they do. These couples, now young adults, will usually marry soon after finishing secondary school and many young trophy wives-to-be plan their wedding as one of their final school projects.

The ones that don’t find their future spouse here are now more free to find a romantic partner on their own terms. A lot of them will still look for an appropriate partner of their own social status, but many don’t care that much. You’d be surprised how many still want to marry for love rather than money .

Example of Nina and Andrej at a standard party, and Tim at a royal party. None of them ever quite fit in.
