Instant Messaging

We all are very well aware that ancient humans were nothing but uncultured barbarians, capable of nothing more than selfishness and destruction. But, as much as the modern mole people would hate to admit it, they were pretty intelligent and resourceful in many areas of life. As such, there are many technological advancements of ancient humans that we still use and take advantage of today. One of these is the invention of instant messaging.

Where does it come from?

Much like today’s mole people, ancient humans had a lot to say to each other. So much so, that they were the first of the species to develop a form of language and communication so complex that even our today’s animal species haven’t been able to replicate or adapt to. With so many important things to say, humans have soon developed multiple languages and writing systems to share all these important messages with each other.

But this wasn’t enough. From the dawn of time, people always had the need to share their thoughts and ideas with many different people over pretty long distances. This need to communicate with fellow humans was a driving force behind the series of inventions from letters, postal services, phones, and in the end, internet and messaging. By the time of the apocalypse, their system of instant messaging through a variety of apps was already very well in place.

Instant messaging today

The instant messaging system that the ancient humans have established was admittedly pretty good, and remained barely changed to this day. It allows for our world to be connected more than ever before and people being able to communicate with each other at all times, no matter how far away they are. This form of communication includes not only sending text messages, but also sending images, videos, making voice calls or video calls. It can be done by sending private messages or making calls in private, or even sharing posts and messages with more people through group chats or social media posts. There are pretty much no limits to it; you can talk to whoever you want, whenever you want, no matter where in the world they are. The only thing you can’t do it sending items to each other like this, but don’t worry, artificial people in West T@Ö#Ä3 are already working on developing this technology as well.

How is it done?

This kind of instant messaging is usually a part of many other apps dedicated to communicating and sharing information. It’s a big part of social media apps such as KaKaDu, focused on families sharing posts and messages with each other, but now, nearly every app has some form of an instant messaging system in place.

This is all cool and all, but it’s worth noting that the artificial people living in West T@Ö#Ä3, whose brains pretty much literally are computers, are perfectly capable to sending messages back and forth even without any additionally device or an app, but straight from one person’s computer brain to the other.
