Spindler raptorfly Species in Fiven Chronicles | World Anvil

Spindler raptorfly

A member of the raptorfly family, spindler raptorflies are an elongated, almost stick-like, insect. Known for their multicolored wings that look like glimmering, woven lace, this insect is found in temperate forest regions like the Black Forest in the Strathwine area.
The other remarkable features of the spindler are their pair of front legs which they use almost exclusively for hunting, leaving the back four as their only means of mobility on surfaces.
Raptorflies primarily feed on other arthopods, yet have been known to eat the leaves of tumble briars.

Do not want to have these following me around. Though watching them fly by would be pretty.
