The Court Civil Wars were a series of intense political skirmishes and wars that lead to the crumbling of the Kohaarteba Empire. It broke into 9 nations total. In order to end the conflict, the nations signed the Treaty of the Seven, which established 9 nations, 7 of which became "The United." These seven kingdoms are made up of Ghaateba, Spenke, Nasma, Kohare Ka Jangal, Shaljabal, Alshamas, and Glieca. The United established the "Mandate of Saat," which is the official establishment of the Saat faith. Tortata chose not to be connected to The United and remains a prominent trading territory.
Sakhira's leader, Beilish, declared its independence and is considered to be a War Criminal by The United. The Civil War and the fall of the Kohaarteba Empire was believed to be orchestrated by Beilish, a Changeling who grew discontent with discrimination against him. He is a powerful warlock of Baba Yaga
