Geographic Origin and Distribution

Pure-blooded orcs are a savage people who mostly keep to mountainous wilderness areas. They are a tenacious and fertile people, and so are quite widespread across the Firmwold—in Liassang, the southern Thyztum Mountains, the Giantshield Mountains bordering Ezznak, and especially the mountains circling northern Kabos; in Rakia, the Varothum Shield mountains and the Zhawteeth mountains; in Timir, the Chamadar Mountains, the Tanutt Mountains, and throughout Biworr.   "Half-orcs," who may have actual orcish blood greater or less than 50%, are their own people, less-savage, and even more widespread. They may live among full-blooded orcs, or among civilized humanoids (though not without some difficulties), or form societies of their own. In particular, in the vast Ragesian Empire that fills most of Kabos, half-orcs are slightly more populous than humans, and are the politically dominant race. They are also notably common in the Smigrin Mining District.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Full-blooded orcs are generally vicious raiders, who respect strength above all else. Their social relationships are based on bullying, which they believe strengthens the bully and keeps the victim's weakness from spreading to others. These cultural traits generally mean poor relationships with other species, as well as other orc clans, with the exception of "strong" races adopted into their clans with honor, such as ogres or trolls.   Orcs especially have a long history of enmity with dwarves and elves.
