Liassang, vastest continent in the world, is the northern component of the Firmwold.

Surroundings & Relationships

To the north and northeast is the Northern Ocean.
To the west is the vast Veric Ocean.
To the southeast is the Ieta Ocean.
To the south is the Sea of Oimo, separating Liassang from Timir.
To the southwest across an isthmus is Rakia.

Regions

In the southeast of Liassang is the subcontinent Kabos, itself nearly the size of Rakia. This heavily-populated and war-torn land is dominated by the half-orc-ruled Ragesian Empire.
The central, central southern, and southwestern parts of Liassang were once another vast empire, known as Rhestilor. After its collapse, the central part of the empire is known as the Vale of Ezznak, and is still an important trade route between Rakia and Kabos even though it is not heavily populated. The northern parts of Rhestilor fragmented into a large collection of small city-states, and are collectively called the Forgotten Kingdoms.
The west-central portion of Liassang is a flat region called the Golden Plains, and is known mostly as a realm of nomadic centaur tribes. To the northeast of this prairie is a volcanic oasis disturbing the surrounding flatness, where rock gnomes make their capital city of Gragatz amidst the Ig-Sicino Hills.
To the north of the Golden Plains, the Ig-Sicino Hills, and the Forgotten Kingdoms is the swampy valley containing the world's longest river, the Kuashon. At its mouth in the west is the metropolis known as Vyt-de-Kuashon, famous (or infamous) the world over as a center of revelry.
Much of the rest of Liassang is five great regions ruled by monster lords. In the northwest is the wild Rainforest of Jedew, ruled by the Frog-God Ssalass. In the northeast are the rugged hills of Forbiddance, ruled by the dragon Rak'Tathla. And in the central-east are the aptly named Ghali's Desert, ruled by the vampire Ghali; the swampy realm of Ceryha, ruled by the aboleth Hshkyxaasyl; and the mighty Desechan Glacier, ruled by the ice devil Thruizer.
Several mountain ranges separate some of these regions of Liassang from each other.
