Humans

Humans without any deity-given power or special birth circumstance are by far the most common inhabitants of Oviexo, making up about three quarters of the population.
Their generic origins don't necessarily implicate in a boring or ordinary life, however. Many humans get actively involved in the peculiarities the world had tried to keep away from them. In some cases, those peculiarities walk up to them later in life, as in the surge of multiple births that afflicted Oviexo between the years 2000 and 2003, in which the tiny neighborhood saw the birth of twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, and sextuplets. Three out of six people who gave birth under such circumstances were normal humans who would never have guessed their lives could take such a strange turn.

Genetics and Reproduction

Humans tend to have one child at a time after roughly 9 months of gestation. Multiple babies in a single pregnancy are rare: about 1% for twins, and triplets or higher is virtually unheard of. Thus, when twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets and sextuplets were born in the same tiny neighborhood, it was clear something was amiss.

History

Humans first reached the Tolona Peninsula around 3500 years ago, when explorers from Torrerca settled on what is now West Tolona.
When the five deities from Torrerca fought for dominance through their generals, humans gladly took on a secondary role and registered the conflicts from the sidelines. Those records have survived the 2000 years since the events, though they are largely regarded as fictional tales created by people who did not know how to interpret the world around them.
Humans also started the religion of Humanism, though back at its foundation it was completely different from what it is today.
