The Boreal System

The Boreal System, a collection of planets, dwarf planets, moons and other celestial bodies that orbit an eclipsing binary star system. The larger center star Alpha is a GV-type yellow dwarf star, with the smaller, Omega, being a KIV-type subdwarf star thats is slightly more orange in colour, between a Yellow Dwarf and Red Dwarf.
The known planets that orbit the two stars are the five terrestrial planets, Lugaviris, Ielia, Dantero, Fate, and Nohivis, three gas giant planets, Obos, Silichi and Streiia, and the four ice giant planets, Criuq, Streon, Kozuno and Bolea.
The planets of Fate and Nohivis are the only two planets in the 'goldilocks zone', the theorised perfect location for a planet to create a habitable environment for Human or Human like spieces. Fate has become Humanities first colony outside of Solar. Nohivis is home to the Qhukbati, a Human like spieces native to Boreal.
The planets Lugaviris and Ielia are too close to the orbit of the binary stars to sustain life, much like Venus and Mercury in Solar. Dantero is a planet covered in storms and dense clouds of gases toxic to Humans, it is however the perfect planet for the Lindaran people, who like Humanity have come to Boreal seeking a new life, though unlike Humanity have come out of necessity after their home world was destroyed through pollution and climate change.
The gas giants Obos, Silichi and Streiia are breeding grounds and homes for Cosmic Dragons, large space fairing creatures who drink the dense gases of the planets, growing larger and stronger before exploring and travelling to other systems. Cosmic Dragons are not classed as a sentient spieces, being more akin to blue whales on Earth. They are intelligent, able to communicate with eachother, but not with other spieces. Their songs are beautiful, though it is rare to hear them as most encounter a Cosmic Dragon in the emptiness of space. Obos and Silichi have large rings like Saturn that orbit them, whilst the vast majority of the rings are composed of ice, rock and asteroids, portions of the rings contain what can be best described as egg shells.
The ice giants Criuq, Streon, Kozuno and Bolea all sit at the outermost edges of the system. Streon is home to the Sipus people, another native to Boreal, a large furred spieces very similar to a polar bear on Earth, they're a quadrupedal spieces, and the only known sentient species to be so in the two systems. Criuq is the home of the Yatsini, another traveller species who came to Boreal, and are the most recent people to have arrived in Boreal - around 150 years after Humanity.
There are 5 dwarf planets, Thao, Cebos, Ecciuq, Cadopra and Viri, all of which are too small to retain a breathable atmosphere for any known species. Thao is under the dominon of the Qhukbati due to its close proximity to Nohivis, and is a mining planet, the Qhukbati gathering the abundant and regenerative hydrogen deposits under the surface. Viri is the only other planet under the control of a seperate planet, being under the control of Streon and the Sipus people. As the inhabbited planet at the furthest reaches of the system Streon uses Viri as a defensive and explorative outpost, using it as a detection radar station for anything that tries to enter the system. They were the first to notice Humanities explorative telescopes and make contact.
