As the daughter of Demetria Valasellis and Marty Maddox / Prodigy, Danica was born into the superhero life. And while her parents had markedly different philosophies on what it meant to be a hero, Danica seems to have taken after her more optimistic mother. She dreamed her whole life of becoming a superhero like them, and after she became an ascended meta and got her powers, she was quick to want to follow in her parents' footsteps--over the objections of her father--and took the hero name Starbrite.

Sadly, Danica's superhero career was cut tragically short when she was killed in the line of duty while still a teenager. The circumstances of her death are as yet undisclosed.
