Petco, Faraday City
Prodigious Girl flew up and landed just outside the pet store, and as she entered the building and the automatic door slid open, the cool breeze from the air conditioning blew dramatically through her cape and hair. With it came the familiar scent of animals and desperation.This Petco located in Faraday City seems to be a hotbed of metahuman activity, although most people remain oblivious to it, even the people who work there. The exact circumstances for this are unclear, but at some point an interdimensional portal opened above the pet store, bathing the animals inside in a strange radition that not only made them intelligent, but gifted many of them with super powers. Much like what happened outside their doors in the broader Faraday City, some animals became bent on total hegmonic domination over the Petco, while others nobly stepped forth to protect their home and the innocent animals who live there."Petco," she said to herself. "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."
Denizens
In addition to the (oblivious) employees who work there, the Petco is home to a number of superpowered animal residents, both heroic and villainous, including the legendary League of Chinchillas, and the astonishing AquaFish!
