God
Notice: very little in this article is known to anyone in-universe.The Gods are beings who have gained extraordinary ability to understand the fabric of the universe. Many gods have also gained access to extreme levels of magic, and are therefore able to use their knowledge to bend reality. There are three categories of Gods as spoken about in this wiki: True Gods, Enlightened Gods, and the Ancients. Though they have intimate understanding of the fabric of the universe, this is not equivalent to understanding of how the universe was created to begin with. Just like regular mortals, the Gods subscribe to various religions or lack thereof, and each have differing theories on the nature of their powers.
True Gods
Overview
The True Gods gained magic strung between the cells of their bodies during a great Solar flare in ME 0. It is unclear even to the True Gods themselves why they specifically were affected, if there is any reason. The magic in their bodies in theory causes a host of medical conditions, but it’s nothing they can’t counteract with their incredible powers. Those True Gods who are immortal are able to easily keep themselves alive indefinitely by micromanaging their cell processes. However, most of them died before they learned what their abilities meant, or deliberately chose not to extend their lives. (Such micromanaging requires an extremely high intelligence and attention to detail.) Only a handful remain now, and the number of those left is slowly dwindling further down, with some deciding after thousands of years they no longer want to live, or being killed by other Gods. The True Gods are known by all inhabitants of the planet, and are worshipped as deities by most. Nearly every religion in (world name) worships at least some of the True Gods in one form or another.List

Overview
The Enlightened Gods are those who witnessed an event other than the Solar flare which somehow gave them an epiphany about the universe. They may have also gained their knowledge from another God, who intentionally exposed them to very high levels of magic or showed them things which should not be possible. (The True God Taiga created a number of Enlightened Gods by resurrecting mortals repeatedly until they figured out how he was doing it.) They usually do not have access to extraordinary levels of magic, and as such usually have no means of extending their lives though they may understand how they would in theory. There are notable exceptions to this trend, of course. The average Enlightened God is not as universally recognised or worshipped by mortals, mostly because their non-extended lifespan makes them very difficult to hear about. They may be recognised by their own culture as a Prophet or Saint (or, more likely, a crazy person).List

Overview
The Ancients are a mysterious prehistoric group of unknown size, age, and coherence theorised to exist by the Gods (namely Taiga, Aria, and Hamsa). It appears they have all died, or at least, no trace of them can be found. They were responsible for the Inverted Tower and Undersea Tower, structures which dig deep into the planet’s mantle, allowing access to levels of magic greater than are possible anywhere on the planet’s surface.List
