Vahit is Killed / The First Shade

Upon finding the Goddess Blade, his captain, Catria Geisslerra takes the sword before him and murders him on the spot with it.   Upon his death Vahit is turned into a Shade

After reaching the island holding the Goddess Blade, Vahit and Catria split into a group to search a cave system marked with clear signs of ancient elvish structures. After navigating the cave system, the amethyst sword is found resting on a pedestal.   Catria was the first to grab it, and thus the blade was bound to her, much to Vahit's dismay. The sword's magic showed her visions of the future, of demons and violence and death and Vahit. Shaken by her visions, she attacks Vahit with the sword and leaves him for dead in the cave.   Left bleeding to death in the cave, the strange voidstone heart he'd experimented on began to ooze black liquid which consumed his body, transforming him into a horrible demonic abomination that would later be known as a Shade.
