Personal history

Catria lived in a poor area of Venezuela for much of her life. With little money, she worked as a prostitute to make ends meet. One of her clients would end up being an older gentleman with a lot of money. During a conversation with him, it was revealed that much of his wealth was received illegally, and that he was actually a pirate. Just one night of talking to this man was enough to instill a fascination of the idea in Catria's mind.   After months of talking with this gentleman, Catria would eventually run off with him and join his crew. Over the years Catria and her husband would become infamous in the Caribbean area. However, their love was growing stale, as her husband was a bit of a rude idiot, and his crew were feeling similarly. So Catria and his crew eventually formed a mutiny and abandoned him on a remote island.   Catria would then take over her former husband's ship and continue where the two of them left off.
At some point she ended up meeting Vahit, a strange foreign man who could barely speak Spanish, and who never would say where he was from. Vahit told her he had heard the rumors about her, and believed that she could help him find something. He showed her a book with an ancient map of the area, and told her there was an extremely valuable treasure located one of the islands located on it. He payed her in strange gold coins, and Catria eventually accepted his offer.   During the time on her ship, she would notice how reclusive Vahit was, and on occasion would spy on him when he would go to his quarters. One of these times, she caught him performing a strange magical ritual, that she was convinced was demon worship. Her suspicion of Vahit continued to grow until the ship would arrive on the island.   Vahit offered for the two of them to explore a cave located on the island, to which Catria hesitantly agreed. The two would find a very large opening in the cave, where the Goddess Blade was found, sitting on a dusty, cobweb ridden pedestal. As the two drew closer, the sword began to glow brilliantly. Catria ended up being the first one to reach the sword and pick it up.   Upon holding the sword, it glowed so bright that it was blinding, and in that bright light, Catria would see a vsion of the future through the sword. A vision of Vahit with glowing red eyes and an army of horrifying demonic creatures. As the light faded, she was facing Vahit and she panicked. She stabbed Vahit in the stomach, and killed him. However, little did she know that this action would be the trigger for making the vision a reality.
After leaving the island, she never told anyone what had happened to Vahit. While the sword was in her possession, she was constantly plague with visions of war and violence... and Vahit. Catria would eventually pawn off the sword, after she had become fed up with the the visions.
