Hydro Bolt Throwers

The Hydro Bolt Throws are creation of the Vedalken.  It there attempt at creating there own version at firearms.  However they also wanted something that would work under water.  Typical firearms require fire or flame to cause a bullet exit the weapon.  This is issue when under water.  Hydro bolts were created using hydraulic tension and mechanical piston to shoot out projectiles.  They work very well under water which double their range and are not subjected to disadvantages unlike other ranged weapons underwater.

They Hydro built had different types of fluid and gasses inside to add to the tension. Some of the liquids require more strength to compress. However the build up pressure from the compression can cause bolt to fly faster and doing more damage as a bolt flies thought them.

Loading: Because of the time required to load this weapon, you can fire only one piece of ammunition from it when you use an action, bonus action, or reaction to fire it, regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make.

The Hydro bolt thrower is a pistol like device, that has a metal tube below it and this allows it shoot cross bolt ammo. Instead of using tension strength on a bow like crossbows normally use. This uses hydraulics pressure of oil, water, liquids of other density and even gasses. The weapon must be caulk into place by pulling a lever back. Then the bolt is put in the barrel of the weapon. The tip of the barrel is magnetized so the bolt does not slide out. When the trigger is pressed. The compressed gas pushes on inner plunge plate and transfers that energy release into the bolt making it shoot out at rapid speed.

The Hydra Bolt thrower can shoot all three barrels at once dealing 3D8+3 dealing one massive strike.

A single barrel reload work just like a standard Hydro bolt. However if all three barrels are empty after a massive strike or several rounds of single fire shooting. It take a full attack action to reloaded.
