543 A-B-C In the Service of ...

The Patron is someone who is either wealthy or a high position who can afford the trade favor for factors. or provide assistance in exchange for allegiance. Historically speaking Patronage is common practice among the wealthy a measure of their social status and influences in a society.   Instructions: To gain a picture of the character patron question must be answered. Who is this patron? Whey does he have the character give him allegiance? What notable events have occurred during their time together. Start with table 543A : Who and follow directions   Duration of Service: A character is assumed to remain allied to his patron unless that allegiance is terminated by event on 543C Events.   Role play: How does the character feel about giving his allegiance to someone other than his rightful ruler? Does the relationship benefit both the character and Patron? What kind of "Favors" might the character provide for his Patron? What kind of benefits are received in return.

543A: Who is the Patron

  Instructions: Roll a d10 and match the result against the table below to select the character Patron. Patron is always 1d3 level of social status higher then the character. and always at least "Well to do" (See Table 103 social status) From here go to Table 538B: Why a Patron. Note if the gender of the patron is not predetermined then roll a d6 for hi-low High=woman Low=male.  

543B Why?

  Instructions: Roll a D8 and match the result against the table below to select why the patronage exists. From here: Go to table 543C: What happen  

543C: What happen?

  Instructions: Roll D3 to select the number of events that occur. For each event, roll 2D8 total the results and match the total against the table below to select happen during the Patronage. Reroll any duplications
