114A,B Background: Parents and NPC

Tables 114A and 114B   For most NPC. just labeling them by the occupation for relationship to the character will be fine. For other important NPC you can use this section as Quick way to flush out the NPC. You could do the standard background generator but it will take longer, but is far more interesting.   What a character become is greatly influenced by the beliefs, attitudes and lifestyles of those who rear him or her as a child or adolescent. In the best situation . these are the character's Parents, Guardians or masters on Orphanage.   Start with Table 114A Occupation and roll a d20 to select the parents or NPC occupations. this table selects the number of occupations in the house not the actual jobs. Follow the direction given for the results and continue on table 114B Norte worthy items.

1-12Head of Household (NPC) has one Occupations. Go to the Occupations Tables (Tables 420-423) and make a die roll on the table appropriate fro the parents culture and Social Status
13-14"Head of Household (NPC) has primary occupation which is performed full-time and secondary occupation which is performed ona part-time basis. For the primary occupation, go to the Occupation Tables (Tables 420-423) and make a a die role on the table approrate for the parents culture and Social Status. For the secondary occupation go to the occupation table for the next lower Social Status with the Culture"
15-16"Head of household (NPC) does not work. Other parent works. Roll a d6. On a roll 1-3, go to Occupation Tables (table 420-423) ON a roll of 4-5, use the table for the next lower social status. On a roll of 6 use the table for the next higher social stuats. For an NPC or Single Parents Household, treat as a result of 13-14"
17-18Both parents within the household have an occupation. Go to the occupation Tables (table 420-423) and make a die roll on the table approprate for the parent;s culture and social status for each parent. For an NPC treat as a result of 13-14

20Head of household (NPC)does not have a readily apparent occupations of any kind. When Money is neededl it just seems to be available. (GM Only: see entry 114 on table 978: Gm Special)


  For NPC this table determines the number of unusual event they are already taken place in their lives, the things they are known for. For parents and guardians this table determine the number of thing that a character remember about the person or persons who raised and reared him throughout childhood or in thing that those person did or became that will eventually affect their children. For the most part these thing will be applied to the head of the household  

114B Note worhty Items

Roll a D3 once (It a D4 just reroll on a 4) The result is the number of rolls for noteworthy items about the parents or NPC that the player must make. Roll a D20 for each item match the result below.
 
For Parents/Guardian Only: For each noteworthy item. roll both a D20 and a D6. The d20 indicated the listing on the table. The D6 determines to which parent or guardian the list applies too. 1-4 indicated the head of the household. 5-6 indicated the listing applies to another parents. IF only one parent is alive all roll are for that parent or guardian. If orphan this applies to the master or mistress of the orphanage.
