Aurora Tempest
Queen Aurora, the leader of the sky fairies, is a widow who has a penchant for throwing extravagant parties for all to attend. She is known to spend frivolous amounts of money on the sky fairy’s territories above the clouds, which are decorated with stunning gardens, fountains, and luxurious palaces. Although her husband was the one who did a lot of the actual ruling, Queen Aurora seems to have no interest in it. Instead, she deals with her “grief” by indulging in her love for luxury and spending extravagant amounts of wealth on her whims and fancies. Despite her carefree attitude, her subjects adore her and are always eager to attend her lavish parties and events.
Aurora Tempest has been called many things: 'airheaded', 'carefree', 'loose', and since the death of her husband, rumors have only spiraled more and more about what the woman does with all her free time. Aurora is quite materialistic, and whenever she finds herself deep in the storms of her grief, she spends and spends and spends. Or drinks. She also drinks and drinks and drinks. Her only request is that you attend at least one of her parties a month.
Aurora has tan skin and curly white hair, like that of a cloud. She's slender, with curves at her hips and a big bust she doesn't mind revealing. She has white eyelashes, and wears makeup in dark blue and gold. Her wings are large and feathery.
Aurora loves wearing extravagant ballgowns, adorned with sun and moon themes. She often has her hair in a pouf hairstyle, tall and fluffy. But, that is just a wig, and underneath it, her hair is much much shorter.
With age, she's gained a few wrinkles here and there. Don't you dare ever point them out, though.
Background
Aurora, born Aurora Nephele, was born in Aliferous, coming from fairly average parents and having a fairly average upbringing. But if there's one thing that's remained consistent throughout her life, it's that she has always loved a good party. However, when she was younger, the parties thrown by the royals were far more exclusive to nobility and such. Fairies like her were never invited or allowed inside. She made it her mission to one day get into one of the royal balls. At first, she tried, and failed, to get in at the door like any other fairy. The lists, of course, never had her name on them. So, she opted to try other means. She saved up all her gold, worked at a few different beauty and dress shops, and was able to purchase her very first ballgown. And, just in time for the Sky Royal's Masquerade party. This, she thought, was the perfect opportunity to sneak in. And it turns out, she was right. With a mask covering her face, and dressed in the most extravagant ballgown money (and connections) could buy, she made it into the Masquerade. It was everything she could have possibly imagined and more, and it was at this party she would meet her future husband, Nigel Tempest. Their identities a secret, the two met under pretenses they may never have otherwise. A King and an average woman meeting as equals, nothing more than two masked strangers. But, at the end of the night, Aurora had to return to her normal life, and feared she may never see Nigel again. But unbeknownst to her, he was just as taken by her as she had been. He was saddened when she didn't show up at the next balls they held, and began to search further than the walls of his palace. And he searched, and searched, and nearly almost gave up. But then, he began speaking to clerks at various beauty and dress shops, and all of them pointed to one woman, Aurora. The two would be reunited, and Aurora would learn that her romantic evening had been spent with none other than the King himself! The King who was getting on one knee to propose to her. Wow, that was fast. But who was Aurora to say no? She was quickly swept up into the life of a royal with a wedding to plan. It was all very different, but oh so exciting. She learned she loved planning events like this, from deciding the dresses to the drinks to the decor. And the first thing she did when the crown was finally hers, was plan a party, and this time it would be open to everyone. Things continued on like this for a while, Aurora throwing party after party, and Nigel dealing with the rest of the royal responsibilities. But who would have guessed that two fairies who met one night, and got engaged the next time they saw each other, would run into complications as a married couple? The two of them never really saw eye to eye, their differences becoming more and more apparent the more time they spent with one another. Nigel was older than her, and his serious nature contrasted greatly with her frivolous, carefree one. He often wished she'd do more than just throw parties, never understanding why she felt the need to broaden the invitation to so many guests. They'd fight often, and Aurora would develop a drinking problem that would only worsen when he, well, died. All the royal responsibilities Aurora had failed to get a handle on suddenly fell onto her shoulders. While she may not miss Nigel's company, she sure does miss the things he took care of for the kingdom.Personality
Aurora is a impulsive and spontaneous, going wherever the wind takes her. She spends on a whim, drinks on a whim, and throws parties on a whim. She's not a big planner for anything, doing whatever she wants whenever she feels like it. It's pretty irresponsible, but as the Queen, she gets away with it. She's very loud and chatty, especially after a few drinks. She can be a bit airheaded and may say things without much thought or consideration. (Also, especially after a few drinks.) She's a bit promiscuous, and after the death of her husband, she has been on the search for love. Or, simply ways to satisfy her lust.Appearance

Aurora married into royalty, and she enjoyed simply being the wife to the much more responsible King. He handled most all of the tasks around the kingdom, keeping their people well taken care of. She handled throwing big parties. Things changed when her husband passed away, and she was left with all the responsibilities he'd taken care of for all that time. He was the one trained to be King, she had no experience! Aurora is a far more impulsive leader, never really thinking her decisions through. If a fairy were to ask her a question about anything, she'd probably make up the answer on the spot. She is not very responsible, and hosts a lot of parties to make up for the fact she doesn't really know what she's doing, and to distract herself from the loss of her husband. She loves spending money and spoiling her people, so despite her incompetence, she's quite beloved.Trivia
- Aurora is bisexual, spending many evenings laying with either men or women... or both!
- Aurora has no children of her own, so upon her death, the throne will likely go to her niece. That is, unless she's able to produce an heir before then. Seems unlikely with her age.
