Level 4: Twisted Caverns

A level of murky water and aberration, of shrines and deep knowledge. The fourth level of Undermountian, known as the Twisted Caverns, is a challenge greater than all levels before it. Then again each floor is deliberately level scaled by Halaster Blackcloak and The Help.

Adventurers exploring this level will find no end to the insanity, well more insanity than normal. Aquatic monsters dwell in the sunken caves filled by the river Sargauth. Water drips from stalagmites into the slow flowing, monster infested, stream with the main source of the river being a waterfall in a small cave off the lake around Skullport

The center of the cavers host a vast cavern with a ancient memory lurking in its depths. A aboleth with its ancestral memory has taken its lair in the vast underground lake. Illuun is its name and it is in consent war with the Kua-Toa of this level.

The Kua-Toa of this level ruled the waters before the aboleth came here and hope to survive long enough to rule it again. They worshiped a pantheon of gods who have all been abandoned after they failed to protect them from the aboleth. The arch priest Noolgaloop is hoping to create a new god powerful enough to free them and their, nesting caves from the aboleth´s power.

A third faction exists hoping to profit off the conflict. No not Garfield, although he may be here to. The drow forces of House Auvryndar are waiting out the conflict and are going to try to take out the weakened winier.

The caverns call to adventurers, of 8th level or higher, to explore its murky depths and face its chalenges.
Trivia
>Fishing in the river is not recommended, unless you are Halaster of course.
>Mocking of the Kua-Toa god´s names is just plain rude.
>Taking things from the lost and found bin at the bottom of the waterfall that are not yours is not allowed and will result in extreme fiendish mercenary presence.

¨Ah the Twisted Caverns much more interesting than the goblinoid-drow war above. Although I do think the river water is a bit unsafe I should add a water filter, or maybe some chlorine¨
