Farscape
Farscape, also known as the machine of progress, is a country in the north of Primus. The province is noted for its split terrain consisting of the Raymer Woods to the north and the Kingstrie Peaks to the south. It is inhabited by a mixture of humanoids races, but primarily dominated by humans, half-elves, and dwarves.
Farscape is predominately an urban and industrial nation, with the majority of its population residing in cities and towns located on the coast of the Nokopids Sea, utilizing cleared areas of the Raymer Woods for new metropolitan centers of commerce and industry.
Geography
Farscape is a breezy and warm part of the country in the north along the coast, though the breeze turns into a much more natural chill the deeper into the Raymer Woods you go. Being a temperate forest, there is green for a majority of the year until the leaves begin to fall and the colors change, creating a natural splendor that is sure to attract many wandering eyes. The south of the country is defined by the Kingstrie Peaks, a mountain range that borders its neighbor, Delaren, and boasts a large number of hills that lead to their rocky bases. Due to the mountains height and the shift southward, the temperature is slightly cooler than its northern half. Unlike its neighbor, Delaren, a large contigent of mining and work camps lay along these mountainous outcroppings. The rich mineral presence on their side of the Kingstries allows their main export and consumption: metals. Thus, it is not odd to see the tall Peaks be occupied with a crew of Farscapian humans and dwarves laboring deep into their man-made caves.History
Farscape's history is that of survival. In ancient times, the land was full of numerous hostile creatures that made permanent settlement difficult, if not, impossible. Lacking the innate magical talent as their southern neighbors, Farscape had to resort to both blade and spell to ward off predators. Yet, as time went on, technology became better. Different methods of forging, alloys, and overall better quality of life paved the way to tame the land. Yet, that wasn't the sole reason for Farscape's drive to continually innovate. It was when the Magi of Delaren opted to invade and occupy their pass of the Kingstries that they found themselves outmatched. Their swords and armor were not enough, their bows lacked the range, their magic couldn't compete. And so they researched and toiled, continually chipping away at what their foes weakness could be. It was only when the Delarens decided to push forward that their dedication to improving their arms was finalized, finally creating weapons that could give them the edge to arm their bigger populace to overwhelm the tactical advantage the Delaranian's spells gave. And it has been an endless struggle since. With conflict after conflict, the struggle of technology versus magic having no seem clear, discernible winner. It is this very continuous threat to Delaren that it focuses ever forward on the future. That its repeated advancements to make life easier creates wealth and status, which in turn fuels its creation of a oligarchy of scientific and industrial titans known as the Council of Advancement, is only a testament to how unique Farscape operates. Even now, as they explore the possibilities of gunpowder and beyond, Farscape remembers that its existence and survival as a nation depends on one thing: technological superiority.
Politics
Even if it would not seem clear, there are factions in Farscape that would threaten to tear it asunder just like any other nation. There are three: The Council of Advancement, Engineers of Prosperity, and the Techno-Liberators.
The Council of Advancement is a threat to both itself and to Farscape as the governing body of the nation. Comprised of twelve seats, the members, or Councillors, are selected from the scientific and industrial titans among Farscapian society. Admittance into the council comes at great power, but at the cost of only being able to be admitted by the councillors themselves, or even ejected. Thus, the Council is mired in petty squabbles and grand games of intrigue to both keep their seat and stock the others with interests closely aligned to their own.
The Engineers of Prosperity, or EoP, is a collection of laborers and researchers that aim to end hostilities with all other nations and refocus their technological advancement towards instruments of peace. Tired and beleagured by the endless wars and countless lost loved ones, they aim to have a cultural and societal revolution that would transform Farscape to not only be the envy of all nations for their technology-- but also the good it brings.
Yet, the Techno-Liberators believe that the only good Farscape can mettle its liberation and ascension. That, being through the great gift of their improved and continual innovations upon their weapons. They would enact a full technological uprising throughout all of the nations, deploying and spreading these advancements to every race so that everyone would enjoy the liberation technology brings and realize its true worth. Whether they consented or not.
Rulers
The Council of Advancement - A twelve seat council that is comprised of Farscape's industry titans and genius researchers. It is a death pit where games of intrigue are played as often as the debates on which slightly newer technological innovation will be adopted next.
Faith
While there is no prominent majority religion in Farscape, as Faith has been cast out of the limelight in favor of work and technological progress, the most popular among the minorities is that of Eriathis. They dedicate themselves to her, hoping that by her divine blessing, they too can lead the world through a better path through innovation.

The Forsworn Academy - An Academy of prestigious innovators and inventors. Funded by the Council and politcally backed, the Academy doles out research grants and encourages lines of thinking to any technological innovation-- no matter how extreme the experimentation might be. Echoing Soul - The premier in Farscapian culture, a grand theatre to be enjoyed by mostly all. Grand plays, spectacular musicals, and most of all: the grand operas are all held here. Pivoted as the first of its innovative kind, its own, Karina Echnlan, believes that these types of establishments will be built all over Primus within the next few decades. Caenweld Watch - Located on the Basphalt Pass, this heavily reinforced fortress watches the Delaranian-Farscapian border. It acts as an imposing reminder of the war that was and a haunting foretelling of the war that will be.Notable People
Sinna Rilynsek - A secretive member of the Council. She meets with her fellow Councillors only, with few personal meetings scheduled. She is known for owning many of the textile workshops in the city, but is rumored to have a tight grip on the black market as well. Kevword - The public face of the TechnoLiberators, a half-elf who is more renowned for his work as a mercenary during Farscape's conflicts with Adrennia. Carries the reputation of heinous acts committed against the enemy as well as utilizing technology in unorthodox ways to gain the edge in battle. Ragrim - The loudest voice from the EoP. He was a veteran of the Adrennian invasion and relocated to Farscape to try and better people's lives rather than participate in war once more. Despite his wants for peace, he is always seen with a particularly unique sword on his side, it is rumored to be sentient and have rows of ever moving teeth.

"It's so strange. My grandfather used to talk about settling these lands with naught but thatch roofs and wooden walls. Now look at us! Brick and metal. If it weren't for the Council, who knows where we'd be nowadays?"

Non-aggression Pact
Though the Bandaari Merchant Company trades with Farscape, the two have never agreed to anything official. Farscape sees the Bandaari as greedy money hoarders. They believe that their technology will outweigh the need for their wares and are more than apt to prove so if the situation arises.
Non-aggression Pact
Due to the Adrennian invasion, the cold war between these two nations has ceased into an uneasy non-aggression pact. Focused on their mutual enemy, their ideologies are put aside to cast out the invaders.
Ceasefire
Farscape and Adrennia have traded blows. While the progress from Farscape initially surprised the Adrennians and contributed to several losses, the forces have adapted and began to push back. Necessity of a bigger threat has forced these two to quit their fighting, but their future is inevitable.
Ceasefire
Even though Estar belongs on Primus, it is now Adrennian territory. No amount of Wish spells could prove different (well, maybe). For now, the two nations are not on open hostilities, but the border remains tightly observed by both parties for any potential movement.
