Personal history
Calvin was born in a small town on the coast of Virginia with four older siblings. He was not the smartest of all of them but he made up for it with his sports talent. He was on the Baseball team all throughout his grade school career. If it weren't for that he surely would have been a dropout. He made solid D's in all of his classes. Though he was good at socializing and making friends, he simply could not absorb the amount of knowledge school was throwing at him. Hoping to get by on a baseball scholarship he applied to many different colleges but his grades were so consistently awful that no one wanted to offer him a scholarship. Embarrassed, he left home and got a job as an apprentice with a carpentry and electrical company. Turns out he was a very good hands-on learner and soon enough he was a full-on carpenter, looking for his own place of work. He came across Asheville while driving around the state, and stopped by the hardware store. Making them an offer as a live-in carpenter. Apparently that was a position that they had been looking to fill as the previous carpenter the town relied on died in an accident near the creek.
A year after living in Asheville he was settled in nicely. He was well trusted and liked among the community and made a substantial amount of money. Buying his own apartment and making a good, happy living for himself. One day, while he manned the desk at the Hardware store. A beautiful young woman came in. She was absolutely stunning, it was like the sun was designed to make her skin glow and eyes pop. She was looking to buy a fresh set of power tools for her father's birthday. He was so flustered he fumbled about trying to find her something worthwhile, which she found quite cute. Right after she bought the tools, she took a little slip of paper out of her purse and wrote down her phone number. "You should call some time, I'd love to take you out." She smiled and then disappeared with the ringing of the bell over the door. As one would assume, he surely called the number.
The two of them went on many dates together. Dawn Bennett was her name. She was only a year younger than Calvin. She worked in Accounting at her Mother's insurance firm. She enjoyed going outdoors, listening to records, playing sports, and cooking especially. All things that Calvin also enjoyed. It was like there was this natural spark between them that drew them closer and they shared everything with one another, everything. A year and a half later and they were walking down the aisle. Freshly married, Calvin took on the Bennett family name as per the tradition of their family. They spent a passionate night together, which produced the greatest joy of their lives, Ryder. The baby that Dawn's mother prophesized as a savior. He was the sweetest little baby, though he fussed so much. They did not know why though until he was older. His psychic abilities were incredibly strong, there was no off switch for his little brain. Thankfully he made it through infancy and childhood essentially unscatched. But the Middle School incident left they sweet boy scarred. Permanently changed in a way that they couldn't fix. Calvin wishes he could do something, but apparently this was the one thing he couldn't fix. But the least he can do, is be supportive. Living his day to day with normal family life. A 9-5 job, and monster-slaying on the side.
