Spacebat

In a nutshell...

The Spacebat is a nickname Kenny gives his primary weapon of choice. It used to be a regular old grey aluminum baseball bat that Kenny had until it was modified by a Miracle Comet performed spur of the moment. This is when it took on it's unique color, as... well, it was spur of the moment and was the first thing Comet thought of, inspired by Kenny's shirt.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

It's capable of dealing regular, old-fashioned bludgeoning damage, but it can also tap into Kenny's BioEnergy utilizing it add the Force element to it's attacks. (AKA, he can hit way harder and it leaves this neato blue trail behind it) It's also capable of taking far more of a beating, being able to block some serious crushing and slashing and even some ballistics and lasers and such.
Interestingly, it also can "stick" to Kenny's back, like a magnet and can eaisly be drawn from there. This seems to use Kenny's BioEnergy as well, but at a neglegible amount. So, carrying the bat isn't gonna make 'em tired, unless he's had it on 'em for days.
The best way to describe how all this works is if you "will" it. You know, it's like moving your hands and arms. You don't think of it actively, but it comes to you on an instinctual bases.

Significance

Kenny can't exactly afford and real weapons, nor does he have the licesnse for it. When he and Comet first met, when he found him in the Arkwild Forest Forest, he fell into having to defend him from some Gremkin Grunts scouting around for whatever just fell to the planet. (Spoilers: that'd be Comet) Most people know that Gremkin are bad news, especially being involved with an interplanetary pirate organization... Kenny is not most people. So, natrually, when he jumped to defend Comet, he got beat back easy.
Seeing this, Comet used a Miracle in a pinch, to super power his baseball bat into what's basically an unassuming, concussive energy sword, capable of sending foes and baseballs* flying! (Comet shortly passed out after this... crashing to a planet from orbit kiiiinda takes a lot out of you) So, depite Kenny being out of shape and inexperienced, he was able to fend off the Gremkin long enough to sneak off with Comet in tow. So, this is the first instance of Comet and Kenny working in tandem to stand a chance against adversaries and super powered weirdos, by weilding things that look like toys. (That and a crap load of luck, but you can't see that in the picture.)
(By the by, this is also how Kenny's dart gun, the Stardart 12, works like it does.)
*However, it's now banned from regulation baseball use, unfortunately.
