Time

Time is one of the primal cosmic forces of the Universe. It is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events, through the past, present, and future. It is represented as a flowing force, similar to a river.

While Time can be slowed or accelerated, particularly through Magic, it is impossible to turn back or travel back in Time. 

The flow of Time is intimately tied to the Primordial God Khronos, the embodiment and personification of Time.

Chronomancy is the School of Magic dedicated to the manipulation of Time.

Planar Time Distortion

Time is generally consistent across the Universe, but within certain Planes, such as The Abyss, the Plane of Chaos, and the Plane of Faerie, Time can become dilated or distorted.

While within these select Planes, you may encounter areas of Time distortion, but on average Time usually feels like it is flowing normally. But upon leaving the Plane, it can turn out that more Time has passed that you actually experienced, sometimes on the order of weeks, months, or even years longer than expected. While in other cases it is possible for little or no time to have passed instead.

Upon leaving the Land of Faerie specifically, creatures with no Fae ancestry may also find their memories of their time in the Plane becoming hazy or vanishing completely.

Time distortion can often have dire consequences in some cases, as Time might "catch up" to a Mortal, burdening them with extreme exhaustion or hunger, or even killing them instantly if enough time had passed.

The more extreme ends of Time distortion are uncommon, but it is not unprecedented. Fortunately Spells and other enchantments have been developed in order to counteract this distortion, lessening the possibility of the more extreme results.
