Spore Giants
Sometimes called Deep Giants, Fungal Giants or Formorians, Spore Giants are a species of Giant that reside in the Feydark and the Underdark.
Spore Giants get their name from the clusters of mushrooms that can sometimes be found growing across their bodies, feeding off their decaying and diseased bodies. This symbiotic relationship gives Spore Giants some unique fungal based abilities.
It is believed that Spore Giants are descended from a faction of Fey Giants, known as Formorians. These Giants were banished and cursed by Queen Titania and Queen Mab after attempting to usurp their rule. They now hide from the world in shame.
Appearance:
Spore Giants are diseased and deformed, commonly covered in pustules and clusters of fungus. They have bulging yellow eyes and sickly purple skin.
They would stand around 20 feet tall if not for the deformity that makes them hunched and lame.
Maturity:
It is unknown what the life expectancy of Spore Giants is, with many of them succumbing to their disease between the ages of 50 - 70.
Spore Giants mature slower than humans do, reaching adulthood by the age of 30.
