The Conventicle

Whispers speak of a hidden alliance of arcane minds, an informal but determined assembly of wizards known only as The Conventicle. Neither a guild nor a sanctioned order, this clandestine group came together not out of ambition, but necessity. Its members, each powerful and fiercely independent, are united by a growing suspicion that something is deeply wrong on Ashkrim.
Though their methods and philosophies vary wildly, the Conventicle shares a common purpose: to safeguard the realm against rising magical threats that traditional powers are either blind to or complicit in. Knowledge is exchanged in coded letters and secret meetings. Some act openly in the world while others keep to the shadows, working quietly behind the scenes.
The Conventicle's very existence is a well-kept secret. To most of Ashkrim, they are little more than a rumor, if they are known at all.
Rumored members include Erasmus of Eaton, Damien Stroud, the Wizard Pelitar, the reclusive Ramsey of the Emberwood, and Ewan Abbington, along with several others whose names are only whispered.
