Mask of the Yōkai
Description
While not necessarily an engineering miracle, the helmet arranged for Yūki by her family is an elegant combination of many qualities which are sure to come in handy during her "night shifts". The mask itself conceals her identity while its shape distorts her voice to the same end. The built-in zooming capabilities, video camera and headset are ideal for espionage. As a final failsafe, the helmet's lighweight metal offers protection from small caliber bullets and a moderate degree of blunt trauma, while any further physical protection was deemed detrimental to stealth. While few bear witness to her nightly exploits - and fewer still make it out unscathed - those who do won't soon forget the sight of the mask. While no widely known name is associated with it, the family itself refers to their masked champion as the Yōkai, a spirit of Japanese folklore.
