Personality

Having been kept on a short leash by her criminally connected family throughout her youth, Yūki's personality has been imprinted with the strict traditionalism, intrigue and ruthlessness which so often embody organisations such as the yakuza. Still, the indoctrination has been undermined by her interactions with the "normal" world primarily within the context of education. Though she has struggled to develop particularly close friendships - due to both her somewhat unconventional mentality and how little free time the expectations of her family left her with - she has developed something of a yearning for the simpler life most people get to experience. As such, her personal priorities are dominated by the effort to toe the line between the conflicting prospects of fitting in with the general populace and doing her family's bidding while circumstances still demand it.

Examples of Type 1 Actions

Allows the user to manipulate the structure of the sword which has been passed down as an heirloom in her family. By altering the blade's fundamental form, it can be used as a versatile tool for various purposes.
Basic: Maintains the blade's "reforged" state and allows it to be renewed if broken. Can "store" and "summon" the sword as needed. Can slightly modify the blade's shape while maintaining the same fundamental structure.
Minor: Can alter blade's structure to a shape akin to a chain of razors, allowing for longer reach (up to 1,5m) and flexibility with some control over its motions. Allows the blade to be used for purposes similar to that of a grappling hook, harpoon etc.
Normal: Can alter the blade's structure to the point of breaking it up into shards, the movement of which (no more than 2) can be controlled by the user within a short radius. Extends the chain's length to up to 4 meters.

Allows the user to adjust her position within certain limitations, effectively skipping a brief moment. Can only teleport to a location to which she has a direct line of sight. Cannot interact with objects that are not in physical contact with her. As the ability is about to be activated, briefly freezes time but maintains the user's cognition, effectively providing a chance to plan a suitable destination as well as providing enhanced reactions.
Basic: Teleports to a location within 3 meters.
Minor: Teleports to a location within 10 meters.
Normal: Teleports to a location within 30 meters.

Personal history

Yūki's family can best be described as a relatively recent offshoot of the Japanese organized crime network most often associated with the Pacific region. While their existence isn't as much of an open secret in a city such as New Victoria, old habits die hard and the local syndicate observes many traditions similar to those of the yakuza at large. What matters is that Yūki was always expected to be an asset, and she proved satisfactory to say the least. While her grades have at times been somewhat inconsistent due to the demands at home, she has managed well enough academically and in particular physically. But if by then it was still likely as not that her main contribution to the family legacy would be earned as a diplomatic tool and a mother to the next generation, that all changed once her evo powers began to manifest. The sheer effectiveness of spacetime manipulation combined with the highly symbolic bond she forged with the family sword made her not only a perfect weapon but also a perfect symbol, if only a secret one. While this has made her family all the more keen to hold on to her, it has also earned her a greter degree of respect and personal space. As her high school studies near their end, so too approach many choices and possibilities of greater autonomy, in time perhaps even freedom from the predetermined values which have defined her life so far.
