Alexander, despite his amiable persona, is a deeply troubled teenager still bearing the burden of his parent’s deaths in a manner not unlike that of survivor’s guilt. Despite his own trauma he strives to be the very best he can be, hoping to both honor his dead parents legacies and make his new parents proud of him rather than afraid. Beneath all his bravado and obliviousness, Alexander is a caring and gentle person who tries his best to do right by the people he cares about.

Alexander bears an ability likened to his own parents’ elemental affinity but warped beyond measure. He is capable of calling forth and absorbing otherworldly blue flame bearing properties similar to that of Greek fire and burning hotter the longer it is allowed to breathe in this world. As a consequence of its incredible potency, Alexander struggles to control it and it appears to nearly have a will of its own by being able to partially move and lash out towards anything within its undulating range. Further, despite his own innate resistance to flame, overuse of these flames has been known to cause him to burnout.

Due to the flames' otherworldly nature, Alexander has been afforded the ability to further warp them beyond recognition both by changing their colors and properties to fit his needs. These anomalous abilities the fires may possess vary vastly and lend themselves to their unknowable, alien nature of the reality they’re spawned from. This comes with the added benefit of both granting the fire alternative properties and imbuing his own body with their abilities when he’s absorbed it if applicable.

Personal history

In life both of Alex’s parents had been well renowned and skilled heroes which had aided the forces of the Union in the years of their prime. After the fall of Ragnarok both chose to mostly settle down together and have a child but inevitably ended up getting recalled back to the hero business not long after Alexander’s birth leaving him with a lavish but lonely life with only a nanny to take care of him in his earliest years. Despite this he revered and loved his parents, and they always made a point of coming back on holidays and his birthday to ensure he didn’t spend them alone. Tragedy, however, struck on his tenth birthday when his powers awakened and engulfed the house with uncontrolled blue flame. Despite the power and skill his parents boasted, Alexander’s otherworldly fire was impossible for them to snuff out. It was only by his nanny’s intervention that Alexander didn’t get crushed by the debris of the collapsing estate. After the publicized event of his parents death and the awakening of his powers, he was put quickly into foster care but relatively quickly adopted by the woman who’d been his mother most of his life; Rachel Armstrong. Despite his familiarity with Rachel and having a new family, the young boy struggled to shake the weight of his parents death, developing a deep seeded self-loathing only further compounded by the distaste and hate aimed towards him by his peers. He struggled with this for most of his life but managed to stuff that self-hatred away but since that point struggled in most facets of his life. This was especially true when it came to schoolwork, but despite his bad marks and lacking skill in most subjects he managed to earn a spot at St. Maria’s University as a part of its very first wave of students.
