Personality

Due to her power, Athalia’s manner is nigh-unpredictable, but there is a constant in her behavior: she cares and has empathy for social outcasts and those who have nowhere else to go. It was this trait that led her to open her club in the first place. Despite this, the woman can hardly be pegged down, as she rarely cares for others- outcasts being the usual exception. Athalia can also usually be found temperate when she is in her club- “The Other Dimension.” She lives as an entertainer and tries to lead her life well in a morally neutral lane, yet Athalia will not hesitate to dip into crime or law if her situation demands it. Athalia believes in the lifestyle of: “Why have enemies, when you can have friends?” and has already made it clear she prefers handling her matters professionally and with grace. This does not mean an assassination can lack grace however.

Athalia currently possesses the ability to alter and change rudimentary aspects of herself, while also being capable of doing this while in any form she is currently ‘wearing.’ This ability can be used in tandem with Athalia’s shapeshifting ability to produce a specific form with altered characteristics at the same time- an example being a shapeshift of her hand into giant claws that also have increased electrical conductivity- effectively utilizing both powers at once. This of course pulls EP from this type’s pool twice at once, effectively draining her EP faster. As of now, this power is limited to the outer surface- or what would otherwise be the skin- of any form she takes, including her regular human body. Deactivating any currently active changes to her form do not cost EP but do require them to be reapplied. Furthermore, similar to her shapeshifting ability, Athalia has control over when these effects end, but all effects are forcefully removed when Athalia runs out of EP for this type.

Examples of Type 1 Actions

Basic: Small alterations to small sections of her form, such as conductivity, smoothness/rigidity, and purely aesthetic changes (Color, etc.).
Minor: Moderate changes to small sections or small changes to her entire form, with examples being those above, hardness of the skin, and refractive capabilities of her skin.
Normal: Greater changes to small sections or moderate changes to her entire form, with the examples being those listed, the temperature of her skin, and the reflective capabilities of her skin.

Mimic

Athalia has the ability to transform herself into almost any form she wishes within her limitations, and has control over how long she remains in a certain form- the sole exception being that when Athalia runs out of EP for Type 1’s powers, she is forced back into her human form. She however cannot change from one form to another in succession, as she needs to return to her base form for at least a minute before changing shape again. However, Athalia does adopt all attributes and capabilities of whatever she does change into. She has not mastered humans enough to make use of any Evo enhancements or powers due to the body’s complexity, but she can otherwise mimic humans perfectly alongside her other forms. At the moment, Athalia is limited to humanoid and otherwise similarly sized creatures, with smaller animals such as dogs being the lower limit- the other extreme being capped at animals like bears being the extent of how large Athalia can shift. It is worth noting this ability is not limited by whether or not the animal has actually existed if their anatomy can reasonably claim potential life (Ex. Unicorn, Laelap, etc.).

Basic: Shifting up to a couple individual limbs of Athalia’s body into other single limbs from any animal within her limits.
Minor: Shifting entire segments of her body into other segments from animals within her limits.
Normal: Shifting her entire body into other entire forms of animals within her limits.

Personal history

To say Athalia’s early years are complicated would be an understatement, as she was given to the adoption system at an extremely young age. She would remain in that same broken system for a few years before finally arriving in the arms of an adoptive family. It would be here that Athalia would live for a while, eventually graduating from a tumultuous high school life. It was during these early years in Athalia’s life that she developed the motherly complex toward outcasts, as she was commonly ridiculed in high school and often mistreated by her adoption agency. This combination was only made worse by her powers of being able to ‘escape’ it all as someone else- the temptation eventually becoming too great. This would result in her finally leaving her young life behind, the adoptive family and all those responsible for casting her out becoming specs on the horizon as she travelled to New Victoria, a place where people like her were bound to arrive at one point or another. This would lead her to generate an impressive wealth by abusing her abilities, soon deciding to twist its use into something good by opening a club that took in those like her: those who were cast out by society and needed a place to get back on their feet. This of course sapped her money greatly, but it was something she was willing to do in order to be a beacon for those who met the aforementioned criteria. Despite the temporary intention of the club, many of those who came to Athalia stayed- the comforting treatment and extremely flexible occupation proving too good- and lucrative- an opportunity to pass up.
