"It be a cardinal sin to speak ill of the deceased, but the King is dead, and that is good." -Governor Nic Holstead, 277 CA.

In spite of the kingdom being little more than a handful of settlements across the land's near thousand-mile reach, what little here has survived the Schism, owes it's existence and, mostly, lawful order, to the Monarchy of Everwealth. Born of, and ruled to this day by a desperate alliance between Men and Dwarf alongside other races dislaced by the Great Schism in days of yore; This alliance would claim the land of Everwealth as their own, banishing its former Elfese hosts to the unforgiving jungles and swamplands of the southeast after a grueling century-long feud. To the human refugees of Tarmahc, with an amalgamation of many Fae, Infernal and Beast-Kin would claim the surface lands, and what coastal regions were accessible between the Battlement Cliffs under the singular banner of the Monarchy. To rule it, the collective races of the Monarchy would crown the Human, Dylann Valmore as first of the Royal Bloodline, alongside the Governors to enforce his laws, the Prime Minister to advise him, the Duchy to propose laws on behalf of his people, and the capable soldiers to guard him, his descendants, and all folk under the 'Charging Banner' from then to now. While to the Dwarfs of Kathar, would go the Cloudrend Mountains along the Northern Shore, and all they could carve beneath it's expanse as the sovereign republic of Newforge, free of the Monarchy though a part of it still, a reservation of-sorts per the nearly extinct Dwarves' well earned request, instrumental as Dwarven cannons and rifles were to their joined victory during the Schism.

The Monarchy of Everwealth is the predominant power of the land, possibly the world, as they for better or worse have controlled the overwhelming majority of the country's traversable landmass and natural resources to this day, as well possessing a population which, pun intended 'dwarfs' their stout comrades which were reduced to under 1,000 by the Schism's end. Even so, the inventive cunning of Dwarfish metalworkers, and their large share of the land's gemstone and metal markets has maintained their people's relative independence from it, the Dwarfish reigning over their subterranean halls unabated despite the sizeable differences in political sway. The Dwarfish people do recognize their less favorable position though, and some within their rank do yearn for greater reach, if not at least lessened tariff fees, but for the most part the two peoples work peacefully in tandem. Each referring to the land by the same name, each respecting their shared histories and often traveling freely amongst each other's territories, free to make their own decisions amongst themselves inside their borders. The Dwarfish, for instance, have decided not to assist the Monarchy in the coming conflict with the Elfs, intent to gather their people together and let things play out, some Dwarfs and their long lives still remembering the horrors the battlefields of the Schism left in the backs of their minds, unwilling to return to it.
