Given that the large majority of Everwealth society faces a grievous amount of daily hardships, most of which being unpredictable in nature, a wandering vengeful spirit finding it's way to your home, a brigand hiding behind a tree on your walk to town, a sudden injury, a new form of pox and so on. You should find no surprise that the people of the land take great pleasure in what little routine structure lies within their grasp. This structure comes most often, in Everwealth's many holidays, traditional behaviors, leisurely activities, or tales of folklore. A fatigued logger looking forward to the cold Krissmass season when work is few and time for rest is plenty, a child spritely with excitement at the prospect of dressing up as his favorite storybook character on Harrow Day, a hungry beggar's excitement for the Folkshare Feast, or the simple pride in being hospitable to one's guest; Whatever fate has in-store for the folk who call Everwealth home is a mystery, but there is always the small comfort of routine. After all, while attending an annual gladiator match watching a bloodied man cry out in anguish as he is devoured by rabid, hungry lions, it is easy to remind oneself in that moment at least, things could be far, far worse.
