Helen Highwater

Background and Role in Our Story

The daughter of a pair of guards that retired to Qarton, Helen was raised to be fit and to know how to defend herself. Becoming sheriff fairly young after everyone went to her to break up the fights in the local tavern, The Ogre's Toenail, Helen holds a place of respect amongst the villagers of Qarton  When the bonk squad attacked the Mercenary camp outside of Qarton, they found Helen and her deputy, who is her partner, there. Having heard that she was one of the villagers who had disappeared, the group were shocked to discover that the mercenaries had kidnapped them when they'd started to challenge their extortion and mistreatment of the local people. Helen then helped the group to prepare defences for the mercenary leader's, Brutus, inevitable revenge attack.    Helen served as a point of contact and earned the heroes' respect, directing them to the Goblin Caves and assisting them with curing the fey infected direwolves. Before leaving Qarton, Helen was elected as mayor, with the bonk squad's support, to replace her incompetent and cowardly predecessor.

Appearance

Helen is a strong fighter and is seen in well tailored and well kept tunics, with military precision. She has a strong jaw and dark eyes, with hair that's shaved on the back and sides.

Personality

Likes and Dislikes

Helen likes the countrylife but also relishes a good fight, though she'd never start one if she could help it. Raised in a house with strict order, Helen looks to produce the same order and productivity for those around her.   Helen dislikes mercenaries, after her experiences. She's also not a fan of red meat as it makes her feel queasy.

Personality quirks

Helen trains hard and does morning exercises every day.
