Structure
Tilhal is ruled by the Church of the Angered God. The high priestess Hailey Varhan acts as a highest authority in the city-satate, and most of the priests work as high class nobles and ruling class of the city. Nothing is done without the consent of the Church.
Public Agenda
City-state of Tilhal aims to spread the word of the Angered God to all corners of the world. There are no other gods, but One, and every one must renounce their false gods and join to worship the One True God. This goal is chased with political co-operation, military actions and trade with other city-states.
History
Tilhal is the youngest of city-states of Tilhal. Before the founding of the city there was only a small sanctuary upheld by Church of the Angered God, a small group of idealistic fanatics. The sanctuary was situated in the optimal place in the middle of lightstone-filled lands of Gurugada Greatwood and in the crossroads of two big roads combining Sundair, Disoen and Harigas to each other. These qualities led to rise of interest in the area by Darksbane corporation, who saw it as a great place to manage their trade. They decided to fund the Church and together they started to built around the sanctuary. At first it was only a small outpost in the middle of the woods, but little by little the trade increased, and in the end the Church of the Angered God decided to seize power in the area and they formed a city-state of Tilhal. City is still owned mostly by Darksbane corporation, but more and more of the citizens have been converted to Church, and now they hold the highest power in the city-state.
Demography and Population
Most of the citizens of the city-state live in the city of Tilhal itself. Some outposts have been built around the city to work as a guardpost or farming lands. These outpost are found all over the Gurugada Greatwood
Territories
Tilhal colonized large portion of the Gurugada Greatwood to work as their territories.
Military
Tilhal has considerably large army, but their numbers and expertise is still left behind by those of Harigas. Guard forces are largely distributed around the territories held by city-state, but more and more of the troops have been reassigned to eastern parts of the Gurugada Greatwood.
Religion
Tilhal is ruled by the Church of the Angered God. Worship of the other gods is forbidden in the city-state. Despite this declaration, many followers of Aria the Mother have taken residents in the area due to the plentifull plant growth and wildlife in the area. These priests, druids and rangers are mostly tolerated by the citizens, but sometimes open courts have been held against them by the Church
Foreign Relations
Tilhal keeps open and active relations to other city-states of Marghuin. Their relation with Harigas however has been very negative since War of Greed.
Agriculture & Industry
Many fields have been cultivated around Tilhal and large forest offers much of the game, berries, and mushrooms, a rare commodities in the other parts of the Evernight. Most of the logs and lumbers used in the Marghuin are also taken from Tilhal controlled areas.
Trade & Transport
Tilhal is located in the crosroad of the Great Road, and major routes to Disoen, Sundair and Harigas travel trough the city-state.
Education
All the citizens of the Tilhal are tought to read by Church to ensure that holy texts can be understood by all. Otherwise there is not much education offered in the city-state.
