Ironwill is a large silver dragonborn with admirable physique. However his years on battle field have left his face and body scarred many times.

Personal history

Julian Ironwill was born to a tribal clan of dragonborn in southern parts of continent of Virghan. Like all the other children of the clan, he was rised as a warrior to protect the tribe's home in the shores of Mirrorlake as well as to raid other local tribes. However at young age Julian also showed tendency to think and ponder the concequenses of his actions. He was also quite liked by the tribe, and when the old leader of the tribe passed away, Julian was chosen as his successor at age of fifteen.
Julian never understood why the land was so bleak and people were forced to fight each other for small resurces the land could offer. He was ever an idealist, and thought, that there could be a better option. So he took his tribe and led them to north in hopes of finding better lands for them.
Very soon he discovered, that there were no better places found on Virghan. The whole continent was cursed and its people were doomed to fight for survival. At that moment Julian pitied them. He wanted to offer better choises for everyone, not just his small tribe.
However others didn't want to listen to his propotions of co-operation, and frustrated Julian saw no other choises than to force his will on those who were too blind to see. Thus began his conquest. One by one his tribe conquered other tribes and settlements of Virghan. Everyone was offered peace as long as they promised to follow Julian and his troops. Those who refused this offer even after losing to Julian, they were slain. In little more than ten years Julian had brought most of the tribes of the Virghan under his flag. Thus he declared all his followers to be part of the newly formed Virghan Empire with himself as the emperor.

Education

As a child Julian had little no no education except for his warriors training. In his later years as his armies grew he hired a foreign merchant to teach him to read and write and to speak more languages.

Julians lifework has been unification of tribes of Virghan and founding of Virghan Empire.

Morality & Philosophy

Julian is a philosopher by heart. He often ponders the consequences of his actions and is prone to thinking all matter through and through. Still he is no stanger to action. He is mercifull for those he seems worthy of mercy, but to those who opposes him or his ideals he is ruthless.

Ironwill's greatest motivation is the desire to ensure decent life for his people. He seeks to right the wrongs the people of Virghan have suffered from the very beginning of time.

Ironwill has seen the suffering of people of Virghan caused by the gods. This is why he vowed that he would built a home for his people without the aid of gods. He turned away the messenger of Ras the Judge in his time. However in hopes of leading his people to wealthier lands in Marghuin Julian understood, that his strenght or streght of his people would not be enough. This is why he struck a deal with Grogun the Fierce so the god of war would lend his power to the. Officially Ironwill has converted to worship of Grogun, but secretly he still despises gods and their machinations.
