The Pact Session Three: Jaelbirds

General Summary

Episode Premise: While celebrating their victory, the Traveling Ballz are offered a lucrative job...   The Plot:
  • Now we're chillin. Party on, across all of Dragonscale. Our brave heroes partake to varying degrees.
  • Desmond managed to pickpocket some rich lady for a ring and immediately fence it, so that's cool
  • Towards the latest portion of this celebration, each of the party are approached by servants in black-and-blue livery. To make a long story short, they have a sort of gentlewoman they've impressed, and she's got a job for them
  • Meeting up in a nice little manor house, the party was introduced to the Lady Jael. Basically, she's learned the location of an old family heirloom of some importance, locked away in one of them old Elf ruins. With the promise of a significant reward and possible future employment, the party headed out the next day
  • One day of travel, no random encounters
  • Outside of the dungeon, we did battle with a pack of man-eating dire raccoons
  • Then entered the dungeon by solving the fire riddle
  • Inside the dungeon, which is rather small as these things go, the party engaged with three elementals of earth, water, and fire. I missed a golden opportunity to swap out the water elemental for an air elemental. Anyway, Zule was the MVP, taking out two of them with great shots. Somebody improvised a water balloon to damage the fire elemental, and Astolfo got crit by the earth beast before the others could save the day.
  • We ended the session with the party entering the treasure room of the Gentleman Thief, and about to be attacked by two serpentine spirits. There's a whole horde of treasure here, and I'll be damned if they don't walk out of this with something pretty rad.
  • Also, because of the World Event today, don't forget Stitch that each of our intrepid heroes are to be rewarded with a dope magic item upon quest completion

Rewards Granted

A small ring worth 25 gp, 100 gp each (in a nice velvet purse), a black-and-blue cloak with mockingbird brooch or pin each, 1 potion of cure light wounds each, Masterwork Chain Shirt (250 gp), 400 xp each
