The Ivory Brotherhood
The Ivory Brotherhood is an Arid-based mercenary company that is known for it's use of war elephants. Despite only being around for a quarter-century, it is the most famous of the Arid companies.
Structure
Like most mercenary companies, the Brotherhood is led by a captain and a handful of lieutenants. There is little need for many officers and tight organization in smaller bands.
Culture
The members of the Brotherhood are fiercely loyal to each other and their founder, Rasheed. They are aware of their fame and power, and often ignore common pleasantries and even respect for nobility when they can get away with it. They are often seen as rude bullies among the Amazwean nobility and as inspiring heroes among the lower classes.
Assets
In addition to their elephants, the Brotherhood owns the largest Sand Glider in existence, the Firewind. The armor used for their elephants represents a significant investment in itself. The Brotherhood also maintains property in most of the cities of The Arid, used to stable their massive mounts.
History
The Ivory Brotherhood was formed after the Battle of the Red Sands, in which Rasheed of the Boneyard and several other camp servants helped to turn the tide of battle in favor of the Sultanate. The band of ten was rewarded greatly, and with the money began investing in their signature elephants.
