Canvas Osprey

The canvas osprey, or adermoeyrn, is a Gwelin-designed aeronautical vessel defined by it's pair of double canvas wings held together through a wooden frame with a blade-like propeller at the front and rudder at the back. They are notoriously difficult to pilot and easy to break, earning them their nickname: deathtraps.

Power Generation

Unlike most other Gwelin technology, Ospreys require mana batteries to take off. Once airborne, wind currents keep the machine aloft, though additional mana charges are used during intense maneuvers.

Propulsion

The front propeller and and wind caught in the canvas wings pull the osprey through the air. The pilot can utilize maneuvers to "catch" wind and pull him in specific directions.

Weapons & Armament

The front of the osprey is outfitted with an automatic crossbow tied to the propeller so that the bolt will never catch in it. The wings are outfitted with twelve grenadoseach, which can be dropped all at once by a button in the cockpit. In addition, a lever can release a hidden compartment underneath the frame, which drops flechettes.
