Badger Subterranean Cavalry

Badgers are medium vehicles defined by their heavy armor and powerful weaponry. They are designed explicitly for combat against other Diggers, which is unusual as most Diggers are deployed to weaken enemy walls or get troops behind enemy lines. They are manufactured by Dwarf engineers and used by all major nations.

Like most Diggers, the Badger is moved by two earth turbines, which pull the vehicle through the earth simply by moving the earth around it.

Weapons & Armament

The Badger is equipped with one 'claw' on each of it's four sides, an adamantine blade used by putting the mass of the Badger itself behind it.

Armor and defense

A full inch of steel is the base frame of the Badger, but vulnerable areas are fitted internally with an additional inch of iron patchwork.

Communication Tools & Systems

Without magic, there is no way to communicate in tunnel warfare between vehicles. Battle mages are usually considered too valuable to assign to subterranean activities.

Sensors

Most Badger crews operate mostly blind, relying on sand seismographs to locate enemy Diggers, but some crews choose to use trained burrowing animals as guides.
