the mercenary coast
inhabiting the eastern coast of the island of brentinberg it is a series of city's ran by mercenary lords
Structure
each of the three main citys is ruled by a mercenary genreal or govoner. they rule over populations of civilians and of mercenary soldiers.
Assets
the mercanry coast has little in the way of natural assets. it does however have massive amounts of men willing to sell there serves to the lords of the northern continent to fight in there wars.
History
after the island of brentinberg won it independence from the republic of san antonia the eastern coast fell into ruin. without money the new government could repair the docks and citys. soon mercenary from across the sea went and set up small enclaves under the noises of the new brentinberg government. they sent an army of 5000 men to deal with the small enclaves but they were beaten at the battle of assex by an army of 2000 mercenary. it soon grew into a small nation. it became a hub for pirates, bounty hinters and most importantly mercenary who go off to fight in the northern continent and its wars.
Demography and Population
most of the civilian population identified as bretin. but large amounts of that population has mixed with mercanry soldiers making the coast a very mixed and multi-Cultural region of the world.

there is no official state religion but religion is not band making the area were religious acceptance and diverse

Legislative Body
the council of Iron is the body made up of all the mercenary captains and leaders who have establsihed themselves on the coast for more than 10 years. to enter a captain must apply to join.
the law of boundary is a unique law within the mercenary coast. boundary is the law is that no mercenary may kill another mercenary on the coast. if they do they and there other mercenary are effectively excommunicated from the mercenary free citys.
