Arch-king

A title started by Magus the great after his victory against Dark elf Empire the title is that below the king and co king of the northern isle kingdom. many great character from the northern isle have been arch-king making kingdoms across the know world.

History

when Magnus the great one his war against the dark elf empire he named himself arch-king. this made many young son of lord or sons of co-kings want there own thrones and so went in search of land and glory with armies of there own. this began the period know as the reign of the sailor kings where armies set sail to all coroners of the know world

Cultural Significance

many of these men went on to form noble houses across the know world. the people of bretinberg are descended from the mixing of norgens sverkan and the local bretons

Maguns The great- the first arch-king he was know as the great heathen king and formed a kingdom under the dark elf empire. his family became the magnison dynasty and ruled as arch duke in the Frankish kingdom.
Ivar olafson- know as the ice king he was rumored to be a strong magic sorcerer and returned to the northern part of what is know the republic of san antonia but then known as the san antionian empire under Antonius 2nd he made the kingdom of Verr. his capital at Verr would become the northern most city of vineta. his family married into the great families of the republic and they mixed with the san antiona settlers who made there way north. however his reign was only for 2 years as due to other raiders the emperor asked ivar if he would make peace with him get rid of his crown and take the titles of patrician and magister militum of the empire. Ivar and his army of 7000 decided it would be better to join the emperor and gain land and money for there people. the 27 year old arch-king was also given the hand of the empresses daughter flavia.
Gorm frodeson (3048YBCW-3013YBCW) - know to history as the Amethyst king, Gorm son of co-king frode went in search of a land know as the purple coast and made his kingdom there at the age of 27 in 3021YBCW. this was the northern part of what is know the kingdom of brentinberg. he created a throne out of these purple stone and went to war with the local kings. when he died at the age of 35 his 16 year old son king Erik gormson conquered all of the northern coast and create a powerful kingdom. this started a period of northman attacking and dominion over the isle of bretinberg until 2793YBCW when high king Offa of repton raised an army and defeated the northmen.
Erik gormson- the son of of the Amethyst king when his father died at the age of 35 after a breton raid he lead his fathers army to war taking all of the northern coast. for this he was named Erik the conqueror.
Njal Erikson- the base born son of a minor lord Njal took a ship and sailed making his fortune raiding the coast line of the elven king. he took a heligolander wife and at the age of 18 he had a son. he took an army from the people he called the one we left. he then sail to the western coast of the Continent and then attack a ork fishing village. the land he took was swampy and he attacked along the rivers. he forged a kingdom which stretched into the grassland of what is know duchy of Szlski. he controlled the screaming sea and became know as the king of the screaming sea.
Ulf Ragnarson ( 4901YBCW-4831YBCW)  - know as Ulf the traveler was at first a mercenary in service of a sea elf king. he became a great warrior proving himself against other elven pirates. at the age of 26 he fell involve with a elven princess. the two decided to run away and with 100 men Ulf traveled east. he became a privater in the service of the sultan and then went into the white sea. he landed with 45 men east of the black marsh. his brother joined him with an army of 700 men 4 years later. they marched north fighting savage ork kings and steppe monsters. they where mat by the men rastov tsar and forged an allice wedding his son ragnar ulfson to the daughter of the tsar at the time. his kingdom passed to his son but after he died it passed to his grandson Alexander raagnarsson
