Hidden Kaleana Festival

Once every ten years on the 1st of Fading the moon, Kalenana, appears to be doubled. No one is sure if it truly is doubled or if there is a weird cosmic phenomenon in effect. There is not a documented start start or who named the festival though that does not seem to bother anyone to have a celebration of the unusual. The Hidden Kalena Festival, as it has been called, is celebrated throughout Ethrosa and by almost everyone. It is large festival full of events, drinking, and entertainment.

HA! You think the Hidden Kaleana Festival is full of joyous fun, food, and activities but it always ends in something nasty happening. Some widespread sickness, some weird effects that have taken place around Ethrosa. You just wait. It will be something this time again.

As the sun is setting the doubling of Kaleana can be seen across Ethrosa. There has not been a cloudy night documented anywhere across Ethrosa during this time; allowing everyone to sit outside their homes and view this wonder.

Activities

Every major city sets up a spectacular festival with many different activities and entertainment for all ages. Even the smaller cities and towns participate and at minimum the game of Figments is played in the streets or outdoor shelters, favorite dishes are shared with friends, family, and neighbors, and prayers are sent to the respective gods with focusing on the future.
For the bigger cities and capitols there are tournaments that are put on to succeed in feats of strength, wit, and dexterity. There is at least one major play production put on that features Kaleana and there is always a heavy amount of drinking.
