The entire back-half of the Mechatronics hall is dominated by a massive laboratory. Thousands of students, staff, and enthusiasts mill about the clean environment exploring everything from Electronics to Chemistry. It's open to walk around, but it might be a challenge to avoid getting in the way.
Walking around the labs is a learning experience in itself, from the overheard conversations to the experiments and work already being done in the massive complex, you gain an Engineering point if your skill is below 30.
While you are walking, you hear an irritated shouting down the hall. It looks like a group of students blew a mechanism in their project and now it was spraying sparks up into the ceiling in a captivating and dangerous fireball.
Before you can do more than stare, Lab security came, snuffing out the flame. The staff chides the students, now that the danger has subsided.
Within the entrance of the the Mechatronics wing, a large fair has taken over a center antechamber. Bright geode coral cielings and accented walls serve as home to dozens of pop-up booths and holographic advertisments for many industries looking for their share of bright minds from the University.
There are hundreds of conversations playing out all at once around you. People both physical and attending remotely via hologram stroll the grounds of the fair.
You notice crowds gathering around the local Refinery booths, it appears they were hiring some higher-up positions. Eager Yakkoli students and even some staff are pushing the representatives their resumes.
There are plenty of other stalls though, from Fabrication facilities to Art Studios using Mechatronics as their medium.
A large cylidrical room dominates a chunk of the wing, seperated from the public laboratories by an embellished glass divider. Bulky computers line up against walls, blinking an undechibrable message while hundreds of clean-looking students and staff poke away at the many types of interfaces. The door to the Computer Lab is unlocked.
A blast of cold air greets you when you step through the lab door, the computing area felt downright frigid compared to the other rooms of Yakkoli University. When you step closer to the racks of computers, the heat of their hard work exudes over you. Interesting that despite all this technology, cooling is still such a priority for the bulky machines.
Watching people work on these complicated machines gives you a little bit of insight into the inner working of these machines, you gain an Engineering point if your skill is below 30.
