PagePal Chip

PagePal is a line of friendly, professional Infomorphs made for use in voyages up to 4 years in length. Their primary role is as a notekeeper for the operation, learning as much as they can about a topic as possible before They are designed to be curious about the rest of the crew members and generate reports and notes about their work. Personal conversations with PagePal are kept private, and purged with the infomorph at the end of the project.

Page Pal Chips burn out after 3-4 years. This is by design to prevent Infomorphic Decay.

A PagePal may be added to a party to work as a sort of ice-breaking character who asks asks a character questions that may spark conversation, such as:

A PagePal may be discovered by a party as a sort of "last survivor" of some group of dead guys they just found. If they can spin up the chip, they can ask it questions about the mission but not about the people -- leading to some interesting questions about them trying to infer something about the people by asking questions about the mission
