King Auranae Astécolt Nuiróla Órovia Ritari Sutinéval (a.k.a. Lord Auranae)
A powerful warlock who knows many things mortals shouldn't, Auranae is the king of a land frequently embroiled in war with greedy neighbours - Solimensis. An experienced high general, frontline fighter, and diplomat, Auranae eventually long abdicates from his previous positions and considers himself nothing more than a man of his people.
He prefers to be called by just his name, or if needs must he allows 'Lord,' which naturally has lead to his friends and family teasing him by calling him 'King.' Auranae allows this, though it exasperates him - propriety or not, he is not a man for formality of address.
Auranae is self-sacrificing to an extreme, unrelenting in how hard he is willing to push himself for others, to the point that it is only because of the rapid regeneration and endless power his warlock's font provides that he has survived for so long. Often having to fight with chronic depression, the years have not been kind to Auranae, and even a long slumber did no more than offer temporary reprieve once he awoke.
Millennia will eventually weary his mind, but his determination and care for his people, friends, and family will not lessen in the slightest. An eternal guardian of his own free will, no matter what life throws at him.
His longtime friend is Laon, a paladin who has stood by him for almost as long as they've both been alive. Laon serves as Auranae's bodyguard, and has remained unwaveringly loyal for millennia - and not blindly.
Goes through minimally a pot of black coffee a day, even when relaxed, and stressful times often see Auranae go through three pots or sometimes even more.
