Obsidian Hive

Synonymous with covert, this is the name given to the various cells of operatives working to prevent threats before they become public. Formed during the Anazar Civil War and by the then known Anazar Protectorate with the same goal of protecting the peoples. The hive, however, do not have issues with getting their hands dirty.
Most people think of assassins, thieves, and spies making up the cells, however artisans are needed to craft their specialized gear, mages to forecast threats and hide their allies, and clerics or healers willing to patch up those who would harm others.

Structure

Loose collection of independent cells. While there is an official liaison to the protectorate, it is well known that person is not truly in control of the hive.

Assets

The hive has been known to employ sophisticated magical devices, deadly poisons, and would appear to have access to more gold than its parent organization.
It is also known for its vast network of communication relays allowing word to get to almost anywhere. Some joke that the hive could send word to a foreign head of state before a noble.
