Geometrid
Denizens of the void
There are those who know them as angels, and call themselves the Temple of Titan, but one must wonder what kind of twisted mind could, at one time deem them sacred, and in the next moment, designate them as weapons to fight their wars. The Temple looked upon the fallen body of mighty Catalyst II, and saw not a memorial, but a carcass from which to harvest holy flesh. They commanded REDACTED to begin carving the Lemniscate in the ninth year, and invoked the name of the Colossal Plane to call their desires a 'manifest destiny'. The harvest ended with Eos, Eosphorus, and Astreus, and thus, the Temple called the bones of their mother Catalyst Intra. - Journal of Ignacio the Historian, cir. 117 AC
Summary
The Evermorans of Etagard have a long history involving geometrids, but most of it is now either lost, or lacks the context necessary to understand it. What is known about geometrids relates primarily or directly to Catalyst II, the massive geometrid responsible for bringing down a passenger vessel full of Evermoran settlers to the surface of Etagard. This event set in motion a new era on the planet, dominated by an alien force carved from the very thing that caused the catastrophe. Geometrids are incredibly complex entities, and are difficult to categorize as one thing or another - whether they are alive, and can be considered a kind of alien race, or if they are nothing more than sophisticated learning A.I., dictated by precepts and informed only by influences around them. Many, the vast majority, in fact, do nothing much at all apart from populate a corner of space together, often undisturbed for millions of years. Others, for reasons unknown, sometimes break away from this monotony, and begin charting their own path. Then, there are a select few that, when encountering an intelligent race for the first time, such as a human being, apparently develop what might be described as curiosity, or even a sense of attachment. They are sometimes described as bearing wisdom or showing compassion, traits so surprisingly human, it is difficult to really fathom the thought. Whatever they might truly be, Evermorans sought to understand them to the fullest extent of their ability to do so, and so remains some rather detailed records on what geometrids were and how humans decided to classify them.Appearance
Gemini, by all accounts, was a classic example of their kind - glossy black, surfaces without blemish or imperfection. Her specific shape is not agreed upon, but sources indicate some variety of polyhedron.Quite literally, the imagination is the limit when it comes to geometrids. They bear a seemingly endless list of traits and characteristics, and some can even be shaped by mind's eye, but overall most share some basic things in common, as the vast majority of geometrids have little to no contact with entities capable of exerting influence over them. They are called geometrids for their numerous polyhedron appearances, as according to abridged histories regarding the fabled human passage from Earth to Evermore, the first geometrids encountered took on shapes such as tetrahedrons, cubes, and octahedrons. Geometrids appearing as perfect spheres and toroids were observed as well, but noted to be significantly less common. Non-symmetrical geometrids, and ones taking organic forms, did not make an appearance until much later. Geometrids are all composed of a single, pure material, called Geometrite, which possesses great visual flexibility when composing a geometrid. On its own, geometrite is matte black, reflecting no light, and most geometrids look this way as well. More sophisticated or higher tier geometrids might flash neon colors, or even appear transparent like crystal. Texture is highly variable too; unaltered geometrite is smooth and flawless to the touch, but it may also manifest scales, ridges, spines, or even become fluid or gaseous. When their generation is influenced by a person, a geometrid's shape, color, and texture becomes even more varied. They can take the form of animals, vehicles, objects, and even natural phenomena. Though little is known or understood of the process, Evermorans mastered the ability to create their own geometrids, and the individuals who did so created a vast array of specimens beyond the imagination of most Etagardians, planet-native or otherwise.
History & Origin
The Temple's sacred texts speak of an endless stretch of void, the Colossal Plane, from which all geometrids spawn. They claim it came to them, thousands of years ago, when humanity teetered at the brink, and showed them the truth of the universe. From the perspective of modern denizens of Etagard, geometrids are both a strange, alien presence, and a standard, mainstay centerpiece of civilization, but very little is known of their true origin. What records survive describe a vast entity, called the Colossal Plane, and it is said to be both a place and a consciousness. Though it is not exactly understood what this actually means, the documents suggest that this entity creates the geometrids; conflicting accounts make it unknown whether the Colossal Plane does so with any kind of intention, or if the generation is random, or even if they spawn as part of a greater pattern in a natural cycle unrelated to direct will. Whatever the case may be, geometrids are said to be spread across the multiverse, existing in all places and timelines, primarily between stars and away from rocky bodies. [2. Add image here]
Geometrids on Etagard
On Etagard, every surviving individual geometrid is actually a severed piece of a single, massive geometrid, once known as Catalyst II, now called Catalyst Intra due to its reduced size. However, there was originally a second and distinct geometrid entity, Gemini, which crashed down to the planet's surface with the IPV Paradise. Though Catalyst II's history is well documented, many of the records pertaining to Gemini were destroyed during the founding of Paradis, along with hundreds of others, in an attempt to erase the past and create a false reality. However, early accounts of Catalyst II and the Titanframes offer a glimpse of what Gemini once was - a geometrid created by a person, an Evermoran who not only rode aboard Paradise, but was in fact directly responsible for navigating the vessel through wormholes using that very geometrid to transport the entire ship and everyone on it through space in the blink of an eye. Though this information is but a footnote in the history of Catalyst II, more references remain to shed light on what purpose Gemini served on Etagard, and the part it played in the creation of the Titanframes. Through a mysterious process called resonance tuning, Gemini and its pilot carved new geometrids from the body of Catalyst II, creating a total of ten new geometrids. The first and largest was the Lemniscate, which would be used to further refine and shape the following geometrids for use in the Titanframes. This process went on for a number of years, but soon after the harvest and refinement of the last geometrid - a polyform geometrid comprised of three separate geometrite masses - mentions of Gemini stop completely. Whether they were erased, or something caused the geometrid itself to disappear, is a matter of speculation. Quite possibly both happened, as no trace of the geometrid remains in the present day.Abilities

For the Evermorans, geometrids were an integral part of their history, society, culture, and more. For this reason, a significant amount of important and detailed information about them can be found not just in official archives, but also in personal journals and firsthand accounts from the original colonists of the IPV Paradise.Origin
