Ancients
The Ancients are known by many names, and the stories about their origins differ but most have in common that the Ancients are the fathers of the races. Humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, gnomes and genasi among others descend from the first race. While the Age of Creation myths definitely account for the origin of the Ancients, they were known for coming into dominance during the Age of the Ancients, a time period which little record exists from.
Today, there are no known Ancients still around.
