Karelian Coast

The southeastern portion of Estemor. The name is believed to come from the Fallen Empire of Yora, though scholar debate whether the name came from a city, person or alternative meaning. It has more concentrated coastal settlements than anywhere else in the continent, which has lead to a series of smaller, but well established regional groups, often referred to by the blanket term Karelian People".
The region has a long and colorful history thanks to its position near the mountains leading to the land of the Wild Elves as well the sea routes to Falida. It is easily the most diverse place in Estemor due to the influx of trade and travelers from all realms.
