Archmagus
Speaker for the collective Magi of the League of Sages.
Qualifications
- Selected by collective of ordained members of the League
- Must have made significant benefit to the League as a whole or shown exceptional personal talent
- Requires majority of votes and acceptance from the Seven in order to be ordained
Duties
- Act as liaison to the Seven and express the will of the League
- Conduct convention business and maintain order therein
- Observe and direct research on behalf of the Conservatory
Responsibilities
- Renounce all national loyalties and oaths to nobles
- Swear fealty to the Seven, and agree to heed their will regardless of reservation
- Continue to show benefit to the Conservatory and the League
Benefits
- Unrestricted access to most parts of the Conservatory, including all research and artifacts
- Authority to promote, demote or dismiss Keepers and Artificers as they see fit
- Access to Conservatory's stores of rare materials for personal research and experimentation
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Removal or dismissal can be for any reason(s) that cause the League to deem them unable or unwilling to perform their duties to the Conservatory. Any of the Seven may also remove them arbitrarily without explanation necessary.
- League may pass a vote of no confidence during any convention
- Replacement must be named before vote may be conducted
- Vote takes effect immediately
- Deposed Archmagus may be expected to appear before tribunal, depending on circumstances of removal
