Allethra
Allethra is one of the major continents on the world of Essaria. Its only land bridge to the rest of the world is blocked by the Pliscian Wastes and The Shards, isolating the continent from the rest of the world for much of its history.
History
In ancient prehistory, the Pliscian Civilization used Allethra as their capital. Though their interests could be found spread across the rest of the world, the majority of their Workings were concentrated on this continent.
The original name for the continent differed from region to region. For example, it was known as "Creaia" in Barisea and as "Matoron" in Faloriand. In 1 AE, during the rise of the Allesend Empire, the Alln name for the continent, "Allethra," gained widespread use. It translates roughly to "land for all" in Old Alles.
